Policies and Procedures

Ixworth & Ixworth Thorpe operates in accordance with the legislative framework governing Town and Parish Councils. The Parish Council works to a national standard of governance set out by the National Association of Local Councils (NALC).

The Parish Council is also a member of the Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC) from whom it seeks guidance where appropriate.

Its procedures are described in its adopted Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.

The conduct of Ixworth & Ixworth Thorpe Parish Councillors is governed by the Suffolk Code of Conduct.
